That was expected, State of Decay was initially a mmo. They planned on doing a proper mmo if State of Decay would be success.
State of Decay would make a good MMO. It's a great game that's rough around the edges (Graphics are muddy as hell but that's to be expected from a console port), but very enjoyable and worth the 15$ asking price.

Didn't play the Xbox version, I assumed that the muddiness was due to up-scaling the game for PC resolutions. My bad.
if they make it eve online style of gameplay (economy, alliance, Player Interaction wise) this game will become a printing press of money
Ofcourse it's probably going to happen definitely, didn't they recently sell out to microsoft, they'll try to cash out on it.
I bought this game thinking it was an MMO at first.
It could definitely work out and be good, hell the game itself feels like a singleplayer MMO.
the only reason i didn't buy state of decay was because it was singleplayer
if it was multiplayer i'd be all over that shit
Really hope this wont because a giant PvP-fest when it happens.
