Cool, the original Far Cry was amazing.

The crashed zero is pretty awesome.
The crashed Zero was in FC1 too.
so it's basically far cry 2 but with the physical surroundings of far cry?
so it's basically far cry 2 but with the physical surroundings of far cry?
But with a kickass villain, enhanced stealth and dynamic melee attacks.
I liked far cry 2 it was a nice idea but badly done but i loved the enviroment
I really hope they don't pull a Far Cry 2 on the voice actors. I don't know how many people noticed it, but the voice actors they used in the trailers for Far Cry 2 were completely different from the ones in the actual game. Wouldn't be a problem if it weren't for the fact that the actors in the trailers actually sounded good. Like really good. Then I play the game and I'm hearing what barely sounds better than some amateur voice actors just plucked off the street. Vaas is wonderful though. It's also nice that as I bring Vaas up in this post, the video gets to the point where they talk about him and his performance. I am hopeful. I also hope this one has a singleplayer map editor. I was really disappointed that Far Cry 2 didn't.
sounds too newbie-loving-game too easy.Farcry2 dumb enemies but at least they shoot you,farcry3 dumb enemies who wont shoot "we don't want to punish the player" I don't see any challenge in that,I bet it'll be same as 2
it seems like a remake of the first. i'll buy it if theres more mutants
Ever since my friend said this to me, I can't stop thinking about it when I see this trailer, Why the fuck did he spend so much time trying to get his hands free if he could just undo his legs and swim away?!

what the hell are they talking about that the gun play looks shitty? you have a great cover system that I haven't seen properly implemented before, I lost my fucking bearings when you ran up the hill to see an enemy sprinting around a corner just to trip around the drop and become easy kill for you, and not to mention the animations were very strong when you shot at the enemies running away

Barring the cover system he's actually right, and those 'takedowns/assassinations' don't fall under direct combat.
You know what will happen? Genetic mutated sharks
it seems like a remake of the first. i'll buy it if theres more mutants
No, fuck no. Mutants fucking ruined the second part of Far Cry 1.
I think they fit in really well, I kinda liked that, simkas.
Hope it's as well optimized as FC2.
I hope we see a return of the storyline for FC1, the mutant storyline was pretty intense for me, I loved it. Hell, I still play it :v:
FC2 was pretty damn good as a game, I liked how it played, I loved the editor, the game was entirely smooth for me. The issue though is that I had to run around more than kill, while I enjoyed it being mostly hud-free and 'in there', making you feel more like your doing something than just 'pew pew'ing, it seemed like FarCry2 was more of a game test on what a 'realistic' game would be like, while its great to see, it's not very good for a long single player game. The game wasn't even connected to anything even related to FC1, which to me... is just silly. Hopefully this is more on actual gameplay than running around.
I wish Crytek would actually develop this one. I don't understand how they playtested Far Cry 2 and thought that running into the same exact encounter with an enemy patrol roughly twice between every objective would be fun.

He was talking about the weapons, in FC2 when you shoot it goes all over the place, he meant in FC3 weapons actually shoot straight. [editline]18th June 2011[/editline] Also FC3 looks fucking awesome.
The crashed zero is pretty awesome.
I think Crysis may be the only island based FPS without a crashed zero :v:
I wish they'd bring back predator mode. It was amazing to jump over a mercenary and then slash him with your hands from above. Instincts Predator will always be the best Far Cry to me.

The only way i would enjoy mutants is if it was like Far Cry Predator on the Xbox, that game was pretty awesome! Some of the maps I made in that were epic... had so muhc fun with my friends and playing "Predator Mode"
Make it more like instincts, and in many ways nothing like Far Cry 2 and that's progress right away. A lot of great ideas in 2 were weighed down by terrible design decisions.

I can see it having potential, jungles look pretty good.
