• How to use IR remote control as key bind in games?

I bought TV card few days ago. And with it I got IR remote. 32 keys. It has a small sensor that plugs in into card and I attached it to wall. Connector is 100% identical to Audio connectors. But atm it's plugged into tv card at back of pc. Is there any way to use this remote lets say for microsoft flight simulator? is there any software?
Generally ir sensors connected to tv cards are only compatible with the software you got - unless you can get it to work in Windows media center. That way you might have a chance, otherwise don't count on it.
I can actually. In tray near clock, I have remote control icon. I can chose what program to use. Either tv program or media center.

The best I could come up with to serve this purpose is Remote2Key, but that project seems inactive.
