I have one in my home but have no idea of how to properly use it.

You rip the thing out of the floor and get some wetwipes/a roll of toilet paper.
Fill it with water, squat, and wash your ass/balls as if you were taking a shit and didn't want a snake or a centipede to crawl through your poop/dick up your ass.
Unless you're talking about feet.
