everything will be burnt to ashes after a week
DayZ like? Check. Mechanic that could easily be used to asshole objectives? Check. If this turns out to be F2P, then this game is probably be the most asshole game to ever exist.
I've never been one to complain about a lack of innovation but... this is bad. Zombies, crafting, persistent world. It's all so boring now.
"Our focus is building a sandbox style of gameplay where players can build shelters out of resources in the world. They can even work together to make amazing fortresses complete with weaponry to help defend against both the Infected and other players,"
Kind of reminds me of Rust. (and presumably others that I just don't know about) Well, I for one am not bored of zombies, mainly because no game to use them as a focus point has done exactly what I wanted yet. The closest being State of Decay. So, I'm hopeful for it. Also, I'm not wrong in thinking this will be for PC, right?

I am very confident a heavily concentrated apocalypse survival game could be very good if the developers spent more time on the apocalypse and survival aspects over the 'its a pvp and oh yeah there are zombies too'.
Please someone. Please. Plllllease. Add something new to the Zombie Sandbox. Its not that damn hard, Look at project zomboid. Thats turning out to be one of the best atm.
i'd love a zombie sandbox game that rewards cooperation and community building incoming carebear insinuations
carebear.
i'd love a zombie sandbox game that rewards cooperation and community building incoming carebear insinuations
I want a game so brutally and unforgivably hard, that the only way to succeed is to cooperate.
i'd love a zombie sandbox game that rewards cooperation and community building incoming carebear insinuations
well here's a game where you pay 5 dollars to burn stuff and another 5 if you don't want to wait to find a gun, oh and let's add another 5 if you don't feel like waiting 2 days to craft a basket
I'm glad that SOE have been trying to innovate in the MMO genre, but their F2P models generally suck ass. They make solid games and then ruin them with shitty restrictions. [editline]10th April 2014[/editline]
i'd love a zombie sandbox game that rewards cooperation and community building incoming carebear insinuations
The easiest way to reward cooperation is by making AI that is actual threatening to players and forcing them into groups. They need good AI to achieve this. If not we're going to see the same exact scenario where players just avoid zombies altogether because they don't really add anything to the game.
everything will be burnt to ashes after a week
I used to play a game called haven and hearth. That was a persistant mmo with just 1 world for all the players which was refreshed every few months. 4chan raided and cut down all the trees within 1-2 hours travel of the starting point.
