• Limiting Youtube ads

I watch some long videos on youtube from a wide variety of subscriptions. I don't like to use adblocker on them since I don't want to cut their profits but more often then not one of the ads that run outside the video, particularly on the right side above the Related Videos column, start playing videos with sound in the middle of the video. Now my question is does anyone know how to block those damned things without blocking everything else with it? I've been looking for weeks for an answer to this.
You could install Adblock Plus, not download any filter subscriptions, then use right click>Block Element on any annoying ads.
I've tried that, it hides it from showing up on the webpage but it still runs, making noise and I can't even see it. Also, when you right click a video all you get is the Adobe Flash settings.
Have I got the extension for you! https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/youtube-options-for-googl/bdokagampppgbnjfdlkfpphniapiiifn
I... I think that worked thank you!
No... It didn't apparently, it does the same thing as Adblocker does with the ads I think, the sound from the background ads still ran but I couldn't see the video anywhere.
