I was having trouble connecting my computer (desktop) to our wireless network with an adapter, so i moved the route so i could connect with an ethernet cord. Now when ever the phone rings or is picked up the broadband connection is lost (i cant do anything except wait to get reconnected). This never happened before I moved it. If moving it was the problem, then why? I setup the router the exact same way as before. Please help.
Sounds like you don't have phone filters on any of the telephones in the house or one of the filters is faulty.
is there anything i could do to fix this? (easy to buy /install)

Well have you confirmed that there are phone filters on every phone in the house? If you need extra filters your ISP should provide you with them. If you have filters on every phone then call up your ISP and get them to check each filter. They will probably ask you to unplug and plug in each filter individually when the run the tests so they can see which one is faulty.
thanks i'll check with my ISP
