I'm to damn lazy to build my own. So I'm turning to HP. Now I've picked this out for my selction: Is it any good?
GT 220 is a no no. [editline]08:34PM[/editline] Also for that amount of money you would get a computer which is at least 3x better than that.
What do you suggest? :ohdear:
I'm not sure. I'm not the best PC builder here but I'm sure someone will be kind enough to build you one. But please stop being lazy and build it yourself. You will save so much money.

build one [editline]08:45PM[/editline] it literally takes an hour
Understandably you have come to the wrong place. People here don't like prebuilts and will almost always suggest building your own. Not only do you save money, but it could be a fun experience. That being said, as far as prebuilts go, there isn't much you can do with keeping the price low and the performance high. So if you want to save money and have some fun (at least I did) build your own. If you don't then browse a few sites and just find the one that saves you the most money (not going to be more than $100).
As far as a prebuilt goes, this is good, but overpriced: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229157
I believe the only reason the OP and generally other posters in the PC Building subforum that decide to refrain against building a system themselves is due to the fact they do not know how to, there are plenty of tutorials you can find via Google; You'll appreciate your system more when you know you built it from scratch.
gt220 and Q8___ for $1k? huge ripoff build it yourself, for that money you can probably fit a 5850/i5 or at least get pretty close
If you have to get a prebuilt http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Configurators.aspx?mid=459

Son, let me tell you something. PCs are beautiful beasts, evolution has given them the ability to have everything labeled and color coded. Usually when one is captured from the wild they are accompanied by another magnificent creature. While these creatures are underrated and few people bother to acknowledge their existence, manuals play a crucial role in domesticating a newly captured PC. In short, everything is labeled and color coded and everything is explained in detail in the manuals that accompany your components. There is no real need for anything else.
This is the only problem I have with building one. I have no idea what type of parts to even buy. Where would I even start?

I sent my PC in for a simple video card replacement, not only did they foul it up once. But two, three, four times.
This is the only problem I have with building one. I have no idea what type of parts to even buy. Where would I even start?
post a thread in the pc building subform with your budget, country and what you want to use the computer for
This is the only problem I have with building one. I have no idea what type of parts to even buy. Where would I even start?
I would go i5 or i3, 5770, and 4 gigs of DDR3. if you don't know what parts to pick, look at combo deals. Not only does it help choose parts for you, but you end up saving even more money.

I'm sure you have some friend who know how to do, or maby fp can try help a bit there too.
dont buy that piece of shit, way over priced, do what yumyyumbubblegun said, it will be worth while
It's not the best you can get for the money, but if you're absolutely dead-set against building your own, then it's decent. I'd at least recommend formatting it and reinstalling Windows so you can be easily rid of all bloatware that's bound to come with it. Norton internet security :colbert:
I made a thread in the PC building forum.

Lol I have a Quad core rig with a 5850 in fucking Canada for less than that.
Check my other thread out please. I really need help :saddowns:
I got an i7 860, P55 motherboard, 4GB of 1600MHz DDR3, ATI 5850, 750GB caviar black, 600W thermaltake PSU and a cheap cooler master case for $830 over the holidays. You could get a decent 1080p monitor for $150, and I'd match the price of your computer yet it'd be several times faster. That's how much you save by building your computer. Invoice of my parts: Cooler Master Elite 335 case: $45 from microcenter i7 860: $230 from microcenter 2x2GB OCZ DDR3 1600MHz: $80 from microcenter Gigabyte P55M-UD2: $105 from newegg Sapphire HD5850: $300 from newegg 600W Thermaltake PSU: came free in a combo with the 5850 on newegg 750GB WD Caviar Black: $70 from newegg Total: 45 + 230 + 80 + 105 + 300 + 70 = 830
build one [editline]08:45PM[/editline] it literally takes an hour
An hour? Thats pretty damn fast.
Even if they do HP is still the best of them all.
I would guess atleast, uhm, IBUYPOWER is better than HP? Not saying its any good though.
