• Fallout 3 crashes when right after I load!

Well, I bought a new laptop 4-5 weeks ago and today I decided to install Fallout 3. The install was easy as hell without any problems. Since i got two of the addon packs (Broken Steel, Point Lookout) I decided to install them too. I installed them, and i launched the game, when I try to start a new game, it crashes about 10-20 seconds after I started it. Therefore I tried to download one of my old saves from my other computer from dropbox, and load it. Same story. I've tried to set the settings down to medium, but that didn't work either. I don't got the slightest idear of what's wrong, though 3 folders in the fallout 3 folder is zipped, the names of these folders are: Data1, Data2 and engine32. My system specs is: Intel Core i3 M330 2.13, 2.13GHz 4Gb DDR3 ram Ati Radeon Mobiliy 5650 500Gb 5400RPM SATA-HDD Windows 7 Home Premium I'M URGENT OF HELP!!!
Have you downloaded the latest patch for FO3? Also make sure your video drivers are up to date.
Is the audio card Realtek? If so There's this mode that causes F3 to crash,I forgot what it was called though
Is the audio card Realtek? If so There's this mode that causes F3 to crash,I forgot what it was called though
I think your referring to having the audio at too high Hz, and turning it down to 44100Hz (cd quality) fixed it.
I'm downloading the patch right now, hope it works.. Nope... Trying the us patch now, though i don't think it's gonna work. Again, nope. I have even tried to run it in combatiple mode but the shit crashes no matter what... [editline]09:10AM[/editline] Woops! The audio card IS realtek! If this is the problem hw do i solve it? And im not about to buy a new audio-card for my laptop..
