• Why has my Windows Photo Viewer gone yellow-ish?

Hello. Recently when I was browsing through my photos I noticed a yellow tint on my images. At first I thought my GPU was playing some fuckery on me but everything else is perfectly normal. Here, have a sample photo thumbed because of size: [img_thumb]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/3177530/FP/yellowfuckshitfuck.png[/img_thumb] Excuse the picture, but I wanted something very white so that you can easily see what I mean by yellow tint. Again, everything else is perfectly normal looking. Specs

i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz
12 GB DDR3 Tri-Channel RAM
ATi HD 5870 @ standard clock (no overdrive either)
Windows 7 x64
Ask if you need any other information, I can't figure out what else to say about this. This didn't occur after anything special was installed/changed as far as I'm aware. If anything, I believe it occurred a bit after I installed TuneUp Utilities 2010. Any help much appreciated.
This probably has something to do with color profiles, but i'm not sure how to change them for the windows photo viewer.
Do you have a samsung monitor?
Do you have a samsung monitor?
This is happening to me too, and yes I have a samsung monitor :ohdear:
This happens to me too but I have an LG monitor.
Go to colormanager. Than go to the tab Advanced. And make sure you select at the first one: sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Sorry for the dutch windows)

I had same problem once, but I fixed it somehow in those color profile settings - not sure how though.

Check it in IrfanView.
Sorry, I thought I replied. Maybe it was just a loud thought. How do I add that profile? I have to import it from a file. Would a SyncMaster profile help me when I'm on an LG monitor?
I'm bumping this for justice because I still have yet to find an answer.
It should be in the list when you click Add.
This keeps happening for me, I have a Samsung SyncMaster T220. Removing the color profile always fixes it for me. Go to color management, remove whatever ICC-profile there is in the list, done.
