Install new drivers.
Alright well i did that on his computer and it didnt change that date.
Is there a reason you blocked out that stuff?
Is there a reason you blocked out that stuff?
Cause this is on my computer so i didnt want it to get all confusing. Do you think you can help?
Do not block the stuff. Just give a picture where we can see what GPU you have so we could find you the link for your GPU drivers. If you have an ATI/AMD GPU, you can update from Steam. If you have an nVidia GPU, go to http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-uk and choose automatic. It installs one thing to check what specs you have and tells you if you nede to update your drivers etc.

If he has steam installed, then you can just open steam, Up left corner there is Steam, click it and there is Update AMD drivers. It updates your GPU drivers.

That'll be why it lags. He actually thinks that POS card will run BF3?
That'll be why it lags. He actually thinks that POS card will run BF3?
Well it does, it runs smoothing intil like the audio turns on and starts going crazy. But right when the audio turns off the game runs good. idk its hard to explain.

Upgrade your friends computer. /thread
AMD is on their 6xxx series, he has a 3xxx series, BF3 is brand new...I think you can see the problem. About all your friend can do is lower all the settings of the game and see what happens.
This thread made me laugh

Just admit that his video card is shit. Only one solution now if you can't even change the settings. Upgrade to a medium end card at LEAST.
Update audio drivers, but ill doubt this will fix annything since that GPU is shit and im pretty sure its your own to.
his computer is fine
Not fine for BF3 though.
Just for comparison reasons, I have a 6870, and can run this game on medium with 40-60 fps. Here is your friend's (i.e. probably yours) graphics card in comparison to mine: In other words: + =
I do agree that his computer is poop but still he can play cyrsis 2, not sure what difference would be but thanks for the help anyway guys. I will tell him to upgrade to one of the newer 6xxx series.
