I've tried to max the volume for the mic on the control panel, but it doesn't work, when I record something I can hardly hear anything. You can also hear every sound from the computer when you try to record, even with the mic unplugged. I've tried Google, but it failed me.
I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Are you sure you don't have stereomix, or "whatUhear" set as your default recording device? IF you did, it would be recording all sounds made on the PC rather then sound being put into it.
I'm sure it's not that, but it's pretty strange that it records anything played on the computer, and that the volume always is incredibly low.
