So, sometime during some gameplay, my XFX 5570 started acting up.
At first it wouldn't display the monitor for ~2 seconds.
All of the sudden, when I take the DVI plug out of the port,
an attempt to reconnect shown no display from the monitor entirely.
Not to forget to mention that since I could not find the chassis lock for the PCIe slot
to actually sit the GPU without vary small amounts of wobbling every time I attempt to connect the
video display, it may have shifted the bus, but I'm not entirely sure.
What intrigues me more is that the fan on the GPU is still spinning when I power the computer.
I switched over the GPU to another motherboard with higher end components, no dice.
One more thing to mention is that during a brief moment of taking out the DVI plug from the monitor's port and reconnecting it,
it is as if the monitor is about to display the video.
Does the monitor work with other computers?
Yessir!
It is on and displaying as I speak.
Do you have another graphics card you can try in the slot? any will work, to see if it's the mobo or graphics card, if it's the graphics card, the easiest thing would be to replace it, the damage you could cause trying to fix it would greatly exceed the value of the card.
