• Will these parts work together?

It's been 3.5 years since I built my current PC and I think it's time for an upgrade. I've picked out the parts for a new computer, but I'm not 100% sure that they will work together. Could someone please check over this list and let me know if it's okay? I don't need any extras, I'll just be getting the PC. I'll also be using an extra Western Digital 500 GB SATA HDD I have lying around. If a part doesn't work, can someone recommend a part that will? My budget is $1,100 so I won't be buying any really expensive components. Okay, here are the parts: Case: Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Power Supply: CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard HDD: See above Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 140W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ965FBGIBOX RAM: G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBNQ GPU: MSI Radeon HD 5850 1GB DDR5 PCIE Dual DVI HDMI HDCP DP Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE 7.1 Channels PCI Interface Sound Card Optical Drive: LITE-ON CD/DVD Burner - Bulk Black SATA Model iHAS124-04 OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders Thanks a lot.
I'd go for an i5 instead of the 965.
Those should all work together
They'll all work together.
Thanks a lot guys!
It'll work fine but you'd be better off going with an i5 instead of the 965. You don't really need a sound card either.
PSU is overkill for 1 card, as said before go i5 and sound card unnecessary unless you're a gigantic audiophile
To be honest, wait till January 2010. Thats when Core i9 releases. Benchmarks show a 50%+ increase in speed over the i5/i7 families.
