• Computer Not Detecting Dvd Drive

Since I put in my new parts, my computer has yet to recognize my DVD-Drive. I properly connected the IDE cable to the drive and the motherboard and nothing has come up. I checked the registry and I even booted without the drive connected. Note: The drive does open and close and turn on.
IDE could be disabled in the bios. Also: If that fails try a new Ide cable/a different connection on the cable/check jumpers.
I have tried two different cables. How do I enable the IDE in the bios after I get to the bios screen?
Well. I tried looking in the BIOS to see if it was showing as connected at all and it's not. Just now found out the disc drive doesn't even open when the computer is on, it just looks like it's busy with the light on. The drive opens when I press the open button during boot though. Kind of weird. I haven't found a solution yet!
I got it. Close thread plox.
