So while I was cleaning my room, I suddenly found this 12 year old IBM laptop, that is actually still in working condition, and looks nice to! No scratches or anything!
Specs of this beast:
CPU: Pentium 3 1.00ghz :c00l:
Ram: 265MB :pcgaming:
GPU: No fucking idea...
Hardrive: 40gb :buddy:
For some reason it has a DVD drive... :saddowns:
Look at this sexy motherfucker!

I really want to do something useful, or at least something fun with this old laptop, but one problem... I have no clue what to do with it...
So Facepunch, what shall I do with it?
Update:
I'm going to install Windows 98 SE on it, then install Half-Life 1 and see how well it runs.
Fuck you and your broke links.
Fix them please.
Thoes 403 errors are so awesome
That thing must have been the shit back in the day.
But anyway, fix those links, you need to upload to a different site.
I have old Toshiba laptop with exact same specs, and with 4mb Trident gpu.
Pictures should be fixed now.
The new Lenovo ThinkPads look pretty much the same, IBM haven't seemed to budge on the design.

My HP Laptop looks similar.

I'm sure it was impressive technology at the time too.
Any suggestions to what I shall do with it?
Think that's old? My father still has his old NEC MultiSpeed somewhere in storage. It still works, but I'm fairly sure we're missing the floppies it needs.

Damn that's old school.
Install Arch Linux or Gentoo on it :D
Use it to play abandonware games
I bet you mean 256MB
I have one made in 1995. Bring it.
Install OSX, watch Applefags as they burn
With those specs, I don't think it's possible to make it a Hackintosh, but could be awesome if it could!
Holy shit!
Just found my old Commodore Amiga!

Mmmm. Delicious T23.
It should be quite nice so long as the inductors on the motherboard have not unsoldered themselves, otherwise it will crash every time you touch the thing.

Going to install windows 98 on it tomorrow to test it.
It looks pretty modern tbh
2 years ago my school had them, then they were replaced by netbooks.
