Its weird, ever since I moved my computer a bit my ram does down from 2 gigs to 1. Is one of my ram stick dying or is this just a temporary problem?
Could be dying or could be the connection. Have you tried a different ram stick in the same slot?
One of the clips might be bad. But the stick itself will be fine as long as it does not pop out while the computer is on as it risks getting horribly damaged.
Try cleaning the connections, or using a different slot entirely (unless you've only got two).
Hasn't disconnected today, maybe I didn't push it in hard enough last time. It happened before when I had a video card installed.

He fried both ram sticks and the motherboard, plus caused some nasty burns on the teachers fingers when he tried to take them out. I was just surprised it didn't catch fire or something.
