So what recent SSD's are having the unfixable crashing issues?

Supposedly some more recent SSD's have some controller that has instability issues and despite numerous attempts to fix this it seems like they won't go away.
Is the OCZ Agility 3 (240GB) affected by this issue? Thanks.
That issue's been fixed no, as far as I'm aware, with some firmware patches.
Also stay away from the Agility 3, it performs worse than even the first-gen Vertex's.

Damn, how did they fail that hard? Well out of curiosity, is it faster than the first gen Agilities?
Stick with the Crucial M4
If I don't have Sata 3 in my laptop will it still run fine? Just slower?

Probably not even slower.

Well I'm just saying because I have a shitty refurb hard disk in my laptop and it's slow and I think I could benefit from an SSD seeing as it loads very slow.
But ehh, $100 for an SSD is kinda a lot for me (Crucial M4)
My Vertex 2 completely froze up on me and I lost everything. Had to RMA it.
I don't know what you're onto concerning the OCZ Agility 3, it performs much the same as the Vertex. Either way, it's also a 100$, so it makes no difference, really. Anyhow, if you really want an SSD, you should also be ready to spend some money.
My Agility 3 (sandforce controller) had a intermittent freezing issue where after about 5 minutes of it coming up it'd just hand with the HDD lamp on and refuse to talk for about 3 minutes. Firmware update to 2.09 fixed it, though (need to update it to 2.11 really but I am lazy)
Well I want a 240GB one for sure, I used to have a 120GB first gen Agility (RMA'd it, OCZ is sending a new one back to me) and it's just not enough space, and yes I move my docs, pics, etc to my spare HDD, only Windows and programs (including games) are kept on the SSD. Even page file is moved and hibernate disabled.

This review makes it sound like it's reasonable:
