Hi my name is Bjarke Mouritzen d: and i want to start scripting... But i don't know where to start :( So can any of you guys tell me where to start or something? Like in the "do not know anything" area. Well i do know somethings, but not enough to even be able to make my own little script. So i would really appreciate that anyone could like help me out starting, or atleast give me anything info or other. Maybe links to usefull stuff that i should know, or maybe tuts on youtube that helped you starting with scripts.
Sincerely the nab ^^
Yeah ive already done that x). And i see how things are built up n stuff. Ive changed variables and mixed around with the settings and materiels.. But It's just that i can't set up things at my own, but i can freely change others stuff as i look at them. So i want to learn how to make the scripts myself. If you get what i mean. Ive mostly changed stuff wich people made in garrysmod and messed around with it. And ive also made something up with something called RGB (red green blue) pixels.. It's just that, i want to be able to create my own scripts, without copying others stuff. You know, learning the laungess myself, and im mostly interested in the C++ laungess :)

Google and Youtube are your friends. Trust me.
learncpp.com is a good website for it
GeeZuss! Trust me.. I've searched much. And Kearn thanks for link :) Ill check it out
simple, install stumble upon and set your interest to programming and what else you are interested in learning. I've found alot of great tutorials that way. i'm just to lazy to read all of it;)
Btw, now ive sitted all day and read stuff at learncpp.com. Thanks for that, it's awesome. But im one of the type who would learn more by directly help like speaking to me.. Maybe not like in a tut, but more like the groundschool teacher and student style :). But i will keep reading till i unsterstand it all. And if possible, could any experienced scripter/coder maybe also teach me a couple of things over skype or anything like that? Would be a huge help for me! Or maybe just like help me starting everyting up and get things going. And then leaving the rest to me.
None too sure myself, but I believe a huge amount of coders hang out on the FP IRC.
Failing that there is this thread: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1092921-What-do-you-need-help-with-V.-3.0
If reading isn't your preffered learning style there's also a few C++ tutorials on youtube, my personal favourite would be this: http://www.thenewboston.com/?cat=66&pOpen=tutorial
I've not had a single problem with any of the videos though a lot of people seem to dislike them.
Thanks for the learncpp link, it's probably pretty good, but won't load D:
I'm going to learn C++, Java, and advanced HTML as my electives at school, but I can't do those classes this year :(
yeah their servers bug out fairly often where the website is slow and won't load but its a good site when it will
I recommend learning C# first, as it's a very clean but powerful language that does a lot of the really complicated parts of application programming for Windows for you.
It's definitely my favorite language and I recommend that everyone who's starting out should start with it.
cdlink14 if you say that you clearly understood his tuts. I will surely check them out myself :), i will do anything to learn the C++ langues as fast as possible :). gbps you say C# is a very easy to learn language. I might check that out, i don't know. Many people ive spoked to says they uses C++ and thats their favorite. Idk, could you try telling me a little more aout this C# and would you say it's better than C++ ? and more simpler :)??, Please give more info :). I would like to hear more
You must know that C++ is a really hard language, like, the hardest out there? Java is okay, I started with that, but I think C# is better then Java.

Add me on Steam if you want, I guess.
Oh.. I don't want to learn java. And C# sounds interresting. Maybe i will start by learning C# then. And afterwards go to C++ :). I added you on steam, and when you accept (and if im online). I'll ask you a couple of things n stuff :). Thanks, i really appreciate all this help i get :)!! And agien, thanks guys/girls idk x)!

You're full of shit
I started with C++ and I was completely fine

and lol at how C++ is the hardest language
I take it you've never heard of assembly
What do you mean NotMeH? I actoully found C++ and C# hard to understand/learn. And instead i started on the lua language. And for another reason wich i dont get, lua seems to be the most easy 2 learn so far. And ive learned alot! I would say C# and C++ is about just as hard to learn. And C# might be a little easier than C++. But instead of any tuts and stuff you guys gave me, ive started on lua and wiki was my aid. So Staneh do have a point there, but may also depend on how easy you learn stuff. Btw you can't just stuff after you have learned one language... Then every other one will be easier to learn..
