The game was just a little side project McMillen made while the other guy of Team Meat was working on something he couldn't help with. He wasn't even thinking of of selling it at the beginning IIRC.

Also the fact that it's done in flash makes it really laggy when there's tons of animations happening.

It's just some basic dungeon crawling game, who gives a fuck
played 80 hours of this , Still have plenty of content to work through . Got more hours out of it than the last three Triple A titles i have played combined . Super meat boy sucked me in the same.You can tell he is a gamer making games.

But who gives a fuck what it's coded in. It's not like it's a demanding game.
Amazing game. Having 120 hours in it says everything, really.
It is a good game, it'd be nice if it was recoded in c+ or something
