I've looked everywhere and I really need to do a clean install.
It's Vista Home Premium x64. Is there any thing I can do about getting a new disk?
Calling up microsoft and inquire with them, let me remind you that it is still classified as warez if you torrent a copy and even have a legal license key for it.
If your College/School/University is in the Microsoft program you can usually get access to the E-Academy space for free and download iso images.
You might try Windows 7, the current RC is good until next June iirc. And there are 64bit versions of it.

Since when?
I thought the actual license was what they made their money from?
This is true with Discreet Software. You can download the full suite from their site but the licenses cost well over a grand each.

I lost the case with the product code too :<
If you still have your product key, you can go here and buy a new disc.

If MS won't send you a new one for free that is.

build 7260.
Build 7600 is "out"
Was compiled only a few days ago (10th of July) and it's rumoured to be the final RTM build. I don't think it has been leaked yet.

You pay for the license, not the disc.
WELL EXCUSE ME!
You guys don't read much about windows 7 as i see.
Windows 7 Beta expires march.
Windows 7 RC expires 2010 (uhh wat yeer)
Using Windows 7 as a main OS is a shit idea anyway.
You pay for the license, not the disc.
Exactly. He could torrent a Vista home premium x64 disc and use his license key, and be legit.

IIRC it's legal unless it's a cracked version or one that comes with a keygen or something.
IIRC it's legal unless it's a cracked version or one that comes with a keygen or something.
Should be legal. as long as it hasn't been tampered with and he used his own key.
