Yep, theres a jailbreak for that. http://pixelatedgeek.com/2010/06/ios4-jailbreak-and-multitasking-now-available-for-iphone-3g/ It's in beta, meaning it is recommended for developers only right now. The process is still super easy. It should enable multitasking and wallpaper for iPhone 3G (it's not some cheap attempt at it also, it's the real thing). Also gives you Cydia. Downside of this jailbreak though is that most jailbreak apps do not support iOS 4 yet, besides Cydia. Not giving any links to any iOS 4 downloads..
Got my hopes up, its still Mac only sadly.
Not mac only :smug:
iOS 4 is dissapointing
iOS 4 is dissapointing
Why?
Give me one for the first gen iPod and I'll love you forever. (though buying the 4th gen iPod when it comes out, most likely in September)
It's not worth it. It makes the iPhone 3G run like ass. I'm considering disabling the extra features.
Now do the same for IPT2G
my 1st gen touch can already do pretty much everything iOS4 can do
Bump for people who haven't read
It isn't worth it. It makes my 3G lag as hell. Plus next to NO applications are supporting multitasking. Better just install a thirdparty one. Sure, the battery suffers, but it's worth it in the long run since all apps actually WORK with it.
