Computer sometimes won't POST, or wake from sleep.

Specs first of all.
OS: Win 8 64 bit
CPU: AMD Phenom 955 X4 3.0Ghz
MoBo: M4N75TD
Graphics: GTX 460
RAM: Corsair 8GB 1600Mhz
Power: OCZ 600W
Basically, sometimes the computer boots fine (Fans spin up to 100% for about half a second, then bios beep), and sometimes it won't (Fans 100% constantly, no video signal, no beeps). Same can happen when trying to wake it from sleep mode, but only sometimes. Removing the RAM completely doesn't create a new or different BIOS beep, it does the exact same thing. Google yields different results, most saying my power supply isn't good enough, when it is, my computer plays some pretty high end games just fine, starting up should be a walk in the park.
Someone else said faulty CPU (As the bios needs the CPU in order to POST and beep), but if it was faulty, why is it working now?
When the problems does happen, I have to just keep turning off the PC (By holding in the power button for about 3 seconds) and turning it back on again until I hear the fans spin down straight away, then I know it's working.
Any ideas what's happening?
Considering you can play games fine I imagine it's an issue with the motherboard. I recommend that you do a BIOS update (providing your version isn't the latest already)
Just throwing it out there; could it be a CMOS battery issue? I'm not sure exactly how the BIOS and hibernation/sleep mode interact but I'd imagine there's something there
It could be but it's best ruling out software first since updating the BIOS doesn't cost, it could be a bug. If the problem still occurs and there's no odd settings in the BIOS then it's possible there's a problem with the motherboard hardware such as the CMOS battery
In my experience though you don't need to post when returning from sleep; at least my machine just spins up and puts me at the login screen on user interaction
Could be your RAM acting up; I have a recurring issue where my RAM only registers if it's at a precise angle in the slot. It takes a bit of jiggling to get it to post, and any sizable shake-up of the case (if I'm moving it from one location to another, etc) can shift the RAM and result in me having to try to boot it again and again while wiggling it slightly to get it into a position that registers

True that
Just don't be losing power or accidentally tripping over cables while it flashes the bios
