• Freeze when hovering over 'Create New' option in Context Menu

As the title says, if I hover over the 'Create New' option in the context menu (the one you use to create new folders and the like), shit freezes. If I do it in File Explorer, the explorer crashes. If I do it in the 'Save As' window of a Chrome download, Chrome crashes. Already did quick scans with Avast and Malware Bytes but they show nothing. Anyone have any clue what's happening?
Sounds something in windows broke rather than infections. Try an SFC /SCANNOW in a command prompt and see if it puts it right.

Repaired Classic Shell too but that didn't do much [editline]6th December 2016[/editline] Ctrl+Shift+N also still works
Try safe mode. If the context menu works in safe mode, it could be some third-party shell extension causing the issue. In that case, I suggest you remove all third-party extensions. You can use a program like ShellExView to do that: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html If that doesn't work, try creating a new user on your computer. See if the context menu works on the new user account.
