It sort of had to be this way, There were better horror games out there and the gameplay was pretty stiff. I doubt it would have lasted if all the games were like 1-3

They should have remade Resident Evil 2 with Resident Evil 4's style.
Or just expanded on the survival horror genre, instead of aiming towards action.
I mean look at how Resident Evil 4 changed the series, in a good way. It did have new action orientated features but it kept many thing true to the original. It was pretty innovative. They could have gone further, but they kinda went sideways.

Didn't they say there was also going to be a Infected VS Humans gamemode because I know that is just straight out ripped from Outbreak File 2.
I miss playing Outbreak with other people. :<
