October SAT Scores were just released. Mine went up twenty points to 2060, which is a bit disappointing since I wanted above a 2100, but whatever. 710 in Reading, 720 in Math, 630 in Writing, as opposed to last time when I had 690/740/610. What did y'all get?
My SAT scores were rather low, but that's probably because I used a really old book that didn't teach me anything.

Tip: Never make these threads, people always think you are bragging/trying to call other people dumb
Kinda odd that according to this poll, 40% of us had a 2200 or above, especially when you consider that the average should be 1500. [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] apparently facepunch members are the leaders of the future
apparently facepunch members are the leaders of the future
yeah that'll go real well
I made 1700-1800 range, I would have done a lot better but I did not really try on the writing section because none of the schools I was interested in wanted to see writing scores. I was 92 percentile math and 96th reading. Helped me get an almost full ride to college.
I do not intend taking the SAT.

I know, but still very odd considering how far from the average we are. Also, I very much doubt that this will even out to meet the average.
I gotta ask. What's SAT?
Scholastic Aptitude Test originally, then Scholastic Assessment Test, but now they've dropped the actual meaning and it's just the SAT.
I bet if you did an anonymous poll the scores would drop drastically [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] sorry if I am wrong but I seriously doubt you are all being honest
I gotta ask. What's SAT?
American high school students take it in their last years at high school. Basically, it tells colleges which ones you're "smart enough" for. If that seems stupid to you, you're not alone. Recently, a lot of universities have started dropping the requirement of putting your SAT score on your application. You still can, if you wish, so now the only people who will put down their score are people who did really well, which means schools can announce that their "average" SAT score is pretty high, when in fact it's just been skewed by biased data. When I took it two years ago, I got an 1860. 590 math (fuck math), 710 writing, and 780 reading.
2401
2401
You are awesome because not only is it impossible to get above a 2400, it is ALSO impossible for the last digit to be anything but a zero.
Screw the SAT. The ACT is where it is at.
We all got 2400 duh
42% of voters say they made it into the 97% percentile ha you guys are funny
There was recently a PSAT (PreSAT) at my school, but I didn't take it. What's the point of it? Does it get you prepared to fill in bubbles?
Never taken an SAT test to find out.
To be honest, I think an above average score should be easy to obtain (as strange as that is phrased). If you read a fair amount and are taking Calculus by Senior year you should get pretty darn good scores IMO.
I got a 1530, I may take it again to see if I can get higher.

If a college wants to know whether you're a shithead or not by all means let them [editline]20th October 2011[/editline] Checking Wikipedia, one of the main complaints with the SAT is that blacks and poor people do more poorly. Gee I fucking wonder why. Don't make me laugh.
GRE Score - 1450

I don't really feel like it helped me that much, I prefer the home prep courses my dad picked out for me.
the psat gets you qualified for a scholarship if you score above 215 that's why I took mine

Where I'm from we didn't take SATs. They were a rarity that cost money. We took ACTs, which while not as prestigious, are what all the major schools in our state assume you take.
I got a 1660. I kinda feel accomplished getting a 680 in the math section with no calculator. Im still a dumbass though.
