Internet being screwy - Hardware & Software

I really have no idea what the fuck is going on here. It started when I noticed that for some reason, I could no longer download maps (Or any files) directly from servers in Gmod, even on servers that I normally can. Additionally, All of the pages on the Steam menu (Other than the games library) have this error instead of viewable content: "Unable to connect to server, server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet." Yet I can still view my friends list (and talk to friends/see what they are playing) and play games online. And now, for some reason, I cant upload images to any images to image host websites, which return an error simply saying that no photo was uploaded. I can however, download things from the internet. Any ideas as to what the hell is going on here FP? Edit: Ok, I disconnected from and reconnected to the internet, now the Steam error changed to: "Unable to connect to HTTP proxy. Your proxy may be misconfigured or offline"

Do you think it might be something blocking a connection to Steam or Half-Life 2?

I've had a similar problem. In IE proxy mode would be set and I suppose its universal cause everytime I tried to connect to any web page it would try to enter proxy and give out that error. So check if it is enabled in IE.
