Oh cool, not going to lie it being f2p will entice me to to play it a bit more. Although I really hope that the micro-transactions don't make it pay to win as that really ruins f2p games.
He made people pay money to make it easier to chip pixels off a block, of course it'll have crazy micro transactions.
We have enough F2P games aka microtransactions.

During the development process so far they've had no intentions of making the game free-to-play at all, it's ALWAYS been CLEARLY stated that it would be a full-pc game with one price attached to it and done.
In this article they are discussing the price point, and how horrible F2P games are and how he only likes the idea of F2P, not how it's been made, but I'm sure you already knew all this since you read the article right? You understood that he was saying that if a major part of us backers told him that they we want it to be F2P they would go down that route? Right? You didn't just read the title of the article and assumed they announced it to be F2P, right?
