I do not think this will be good. But one can always hope.
So it's Oblivion Online.
Wasn't Molag Bal the Prince of Rape or something?
Please don't be free to play.
I don't know about this.
Pretty much the entire point of the Elder Scrolls is that everything in the game sort of revolved around what you do.
Which is always exactly the opposite in MMO's.
I can't wait for it to be nothing like any of the Elder Scrolls games other than the lore.

Domination, Rape, Vampirism, Corruption and Slavery.
They certainly got the rich setting to do it, so I'm interested, but I'm skeptically cautious about the actual execution and gameplay.
I'd have much preferred a coop system for Skyrim.
Im usually not pessimistic but im going to guess this wont be very good unfortunately. I know there is no info so far but im not interested.

This so much, wish they would reveal this as the final expansion for Skyrim..
Well, I think it will be at least worth a try, seeing as it's the first game since Arena that'll let you travel across the entire continent of Tamriel.
I'm interested.

Damn, I missed clicked.
Welp, this is how the franchise officially dies then.
I'd be impressed if it contained the entire The Elder Scrolls world.

Exactly. I would have preferred something like a 2-8 players TES. MMO usually are too much about levelling and finding the best stuff, fights are boring and whenever there's too much or too few people it just kill the game.

(You can always change your ratings)
As much as I like MMO's, I prefer TES they way it is as a singleplayer game, we've got enough MMO's these days.
This sounds pretty similar to Oblvion. Just replace Mehrunes Dagon with Molag Bal.
Between Old Republic and Warcraft, I can't possibly justify buying another MMO.
god i so hope they'll at least keep the game mechanics itself at least somewhat similar to, say, Skyrim's. I mean, you'd have to physically hit your targets with your weapons instead of your character just doing some animation while the game rolls a dice whether or not you'll make the hit (à la morrowind)...
Yeah that's a big problem with MMOs actually. You invest so much time and money into it that abandoning your account feels like all your investments have been for naught, and you can't exactly run many at once.
Really, did this need to be made? I know a few people who want to play Elder Scrolls with friends, but this isn't what they meant.
Just why? Why can't we have a single player RPG franchise? Why does everything need a fucking multiplayer to it these days?
I'm alright with this being developed, but I hope that regular, single-player TES games are still made alongside it.
Goodbye TES, we had a wonderful run
[editline]3rd May 2012[/editline]
Unless they continued the singleplayer TES series, then I'd be okay with this
Well, I really like Elder Scrolls but MMO is not really my type of game. I will skip this one, even worse if it would be F2P.

So play TES the way you like it, in single player mode made by Bethesda. If it really is TES online (including the FPS gameplay) then I'll be enjoying an awesome MMO.
