Not all of the programs that should be in my Volume Mixer is there

Hello Facepunch. I have come here to search for help with my recent audio problems.

First, I will start by presenting this image to you:

As some of you might be able see, this is an image of my Volume Mixer.
That is where the trouble starts.
First of all, not all of my sound producing programs that are running show up in the Volume Mixer, which can be quite annoying at times.
I believe this is related to my second problem, which is this:
Fraps does not record sound from my games.

The sound card I have is the Asus Xonar DS. After doing some research, it appears that this card is just a pile of shit that should be thrown away ASAP.
But before doing that, I want to know if there is something else that can be done, as I quite like the quality of the sound that this sound card can provide, compared to the sound card that is on my motherboard.

Oh, I should probably add that I can hear everything, even though it does not show up in the Volume Mixer.
