I have an issue with apple earbuds not working on my Android phone.

I plugged some earbuds that came with an iphone 4s into my Xperia Play and an error came up saying "Accessory not supported".

I can't find a solution online, I can find people having problems only with the mic, or volume control, but mine aren't playing any music at all.

Is there anyone who happens to have a fix for this?

It's likely because the "earbuds" are actually made for calling more then just listening.

So then they are just useless on an android? I've used these kinds of earbuds on older ipod nano's and everything, but my android is the only thing giving me a problem.
