Simple as that. Me and my really good friend were walkin through this neighborhood trying to get back to my apartments a few years back and we got stopped by a man of hispanic descent. He was standing by his car and he asked us if we liked to get drunk or something and he said we were some cool dudes. My friend asked him if he had any weed to sell us and he told us to come into his house and I strongly opposed to this I went anyway. Well long story short his friend stole our money and we sat in some shabby hispanic person's house with the thought of someone coming into his room and shanking us (me). ___ If you don't have one don't post k
I was almost run over by my mom after I tripped.
This one time I got drunk and was walking home and got challenged to a game of chicken by a car. I won.
A few years ago, I was rear ended by an 18 wheeler on I-95 going through Baltimore. I was nearly stopped, he was doing about 50mph. Spun me into another car, and then into the jersey wall. If the truck had stayed with me and pushed me through, or if I had gone a bit faster into the wall, the car would have fallen about 400 feet into maybe 3 feet of water. Pic of my car after: Yes, it was totaled.

When I was about 7, I found a rechargeable battery. I had some wire....
Holy shit :( Rated heart
Lol, yeah that kind of hurt.
Me and my buds were hiking through the woods, found an old junk pile that looked overgrown and like no one had been there in ages, so we start poking around, turns out some crazy fucker actually owned it, comes out and holds us at gunpoint with a S&W 29 for about 45 mins before letting us go.
I tripped while inside a yard which had lots of wood and scrap metal I'd take to use for stuff. A sharp piece of metal hit the side of my head, of course, resulting in a lot of blood loss. I'd say that's pretty close, and stupid.
Apparently I didn't get held at gunpoint, fascinating.
I was walking home in the early morning after Canada Day and two random guys punched my head from behind and chased me, yelling crap about stabbing me. One was fat and the other was lanky, so I outran them.
From the "Ever had an Adrenaline Rush?" thread: Now that I think of it, my biggest adrenaline rush probably came from my bicycle crash. Yes, again with the bike... I tried to take a downhill corner too fast and went wide, making me hit the curb and go flying like a corkscrew over it onto the driveway of a house which was at a lower height than the rest of the street. I hit my head, and got some pretty bad cuts and scrapes. To make matters worse, I hit a rosebush on the way down and was picking thorns out of my shirt and skin. I REALLY should get a helmet now... I was so shaken up after that...that I was shaking after that. I'm sure if my head hit the pavement in the right spot, I could have had a brain hemorrhage.
Almost drowned in the Atlantic when I was about 7 or 8. There was a pretty heavy undertoe and I was out there with a 9 year old friend, so there wasn't much I could do except get swept out. I saw my parents waving at me, sort of distressed not happy "Oh hi" waving, but the lifeguard did absolutely NOTHING. My friends parents ended up saving us. That's about it, really. Mostly childhood stupidity.
Rolling my car, getting stabbed, falling off a roof, getting jumped, almost drowned, OD'd about 5-7 times so far. More but I don't feel like typin it.
Jesus christ, the feeling of almost drowning is scary as hell. That once happened to me during a swimming lesson when I was about 8 or younger as well. We were hanging onto the pool wall and I wanted to be next to my brother who was one kid away from me. I let go of the wall, tried to swim to him and ended up sinking with only my hand/fingers showing. I was kicking and panicking like crazy, without splashing, but luckily I didn't inhale any water and the instructor brought me back to the surface. All I remember is that he took a little longer than anyone would have liked, considering he was only about 2-3 feet away from me. I could have drowned if was busy with something and didn't notice me as quick as he did.
Yeah I heard drowning feels like burning and tearing as water fills your lungs, then you feel peaceful and calm as you start to die... Wow that's depressing.
Yeah I heard drowning feels like burning and tearing as water fills your lungs, then you feel peaceful and calm as you start to die... Wow that's depressing.
I did die, well temporarily obviously, but It wasn't anything like that, I was in a total mental freakout as my lungs felt like they were being slow stretched to the point of tearing and my body went all spastic and I blacked out there.
Blacking out isn't dying. You pass out when your brain has no oxygen for a period of time.
Landed on my Head/Neck while in four-wheeling accident. Great fun.
I was sleepwalking and thought I was on a sinking boat, and I needed to jump overboard to the water safely below. Except I was on the 24th floor of a Hotel and I had pulled the window out of the wall and was climbing out on to the ledge. My room mate tied me to a chair to prevent further life saving suicide attempts.
Blacking out isn't dying. You pass out when your brain has no oxygen for a period of time.
... I blacked out then my heart temporarily stopped...
I almost drowned once. I almost got hit by a car multiple times.
... I blacked out then my heart temporarily stopped...
If you were underwater and passed out how do you know?
I almost got hit by a car
Went to King's Island one year (I live about an hour away), decided to quit being a puss and force myself to ride all the roller coasters. Got on Face-Off (Now Invertigo), was shaking (because the way it works, you feel like you're going to fly off the fucking track), and the guys that walk by and check your harness came by and pushed on mine, then we started to climb... I noticed my seatbelt's end (backup for the harness's hydraulic locks) was ripped off and wasn't locked in at all, it couldn't, I would have had to tie it together (fat chance) and then once we dropped I felt the harness move upward more than everyone else's... By this point, I'm shitting my pants. I used my legs to grip the bottom of my seat (hang-down rollercoaster), and held on like there was no fucking tomorrow. Once it was over, I was sweating, had chills running through my body, and ran out of the fucking station and have never ridden it since. (if tl;dr for some people, long story short, I about fell out of a god damn rollercoaster.)
Googled that incident, and nothing came up :-/
I said I ran off the thing after and didn't say shit, because I left after that. Lol. I'm not reporting that shit and getting myself humiliated publically, plus I was like 15 or 16, so I just wanted to get the fuck outta there, lol.

This is so it doesn't actually happen to someone next time who might experience something more unlucky than you did.

You guys would've fled too I'd like to have seen how you reacted it's all logical and thought out until there's a fuckton of adrenaline flowing through your body
