• Amusing moments in your game playthroughs

Every time we play through a game, the experience is always just a bit different. Sometimes you have that moment where you screw up something that you did perfectly the last time you played that game. Sometimes the game just wigs out, and does something that you've never seen it do after playing through it 10 times. In this topic, share these events whether they've happened on your first playthrough, or your 50th. Unreal: -There are these enemies called tentacles, basically 3 tentacles that are stuck to the ceiling and shoot thorns at you. When you kill them, they detach from the ceiling, and fall onto the floor. In some instances, the tentacle will lunge toward you when it dies. I've played this game since my childhood, and I've never had it happen until my latest playthrough. Scared the shit outta me. -Boss fight got interrupted by Skype call. Game was in full screen. -Got telefragged by the final boss. -Blew up a friendly npc after thinking it was an enemy. -In some levels, there are moving brushes that act like vehicles; a raft or a boat, for instance. These start moving when you bump into them, and on numerous occasions, I've fallen off and had to swim through that section. Marathon: Working on beating this game right now, so I might post more as I complete it. -Again with killing friendly npcs. Multiple times. Doesn't help that they look like the aliens at a quick glance in a dark room. -This game doesn't fuck around with ammo. I finished one level with little ammo, even the pistol was going dry. I started the next level, and got punished instantly for it by a wave of enemies that closed in on the spawn point. Had to load an older save to deal with that one. -Learned the hard way to stay away from the sentry drones when they die. They blow the fuck up, and kill you instantly if you're close by. Duke Nukem 3D: -Opening a door, seeing a sentry drone, and closing the door while noping the fuck away. These are basically flying metal creepers, and they're bullet sponges to make things worse. -Any level that has pre-placed laser tripmines. The beams always take a second to appear, and if you quickly run through a door that has them, it'll be too late when you notice they're there.
In Silent Hunter 3 multiplayer I got torpedoed by a friendly player twice, and while he thought I died I came back up to periscope depth and destroyed him with a single torpedo. He called me a hacker in the lobby afterwards.
I saw an enemy glitch a bit on COD2. Well a 'bit' is cutting it short. This glitch was amusing as well as scary. After I killed an enemy German his mouth started to move even though he was dead. I heard of this glitch before, but I thought it only triggers if you have a scratched CD or something. I was playing this game on PC by the way.
