• Best GPU for under £80?
    7 replies, posted
Hi all, After building my new rig a few months back, My old AMD Athlon based rig is sitting there on a table and as I am lacking a HDD and a Graphics Card, I've been searching for the best GPU for under £80 just to get it back up and running again. Would be great if someone had some idea of whats best or whether there is a deal to get one. Cheers.

Any specific place you want to order from?
Any specific place you want to order from?
As long as they ship to the UK for an reasonable price, then that would be fine.
I can't remember what the good site that ships to the UK is, but here's what I'd recommend (not necessarily this site, though): http://www.ebuyer.com/product/173708 Definitely the Sapphire HD 4670, but I'm sure it can be found for at least moderately cheaper somewhere else. In a Newegg sale, I got it for $60, so if you can find it cheaper, get it, but it maxes out just about every game, runs quiet as anything, is small, and hardly takes power.
there's one GTS 250 for £80, £10 less than anywhere else I can find http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168911 I can't find anything else that competes well with it, at least in this price range, and seeing as it's a good chunk cheaper than any of the other 250s it's probably on offer assuming you have a PCI-E connector on your PSU this is probably best
If you can stretch £95.99 HD5750 1GB http://www.ebuyer.com/product/175970 Tom's Hardware - Charts Otherwise what has already been suggested is alright.
Here's one for £85 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-155-XF
