• Computer freezes up ingame sometimes
    10 replies, posted
I start up a game, play for a little before it freezes the screen and repeats the sound playing permanently. It will happen to any game, and I must restart my computer afterwords, I have to do a System Restore, I just finished some hard drive consistency thing and it appears to be fixed, I will test it right now, but, if it occurs again, is there any way to fix this?
For me it's usually a new driver that I need or HDD fragmentation.
Update drivers, disable GFX/CPU overclock, make sure you meet the power requirements for your system, try putting the GFX card into a different PCI-e slot.
I encountered the freeze in CoH just now after several updates to my computer. also have the latest drivers time to uninstall some stuff [editline]07:49PM[/editline] My computer is now entirely fucked up, I changed power settings, but that helped nothing, and I cannot play ANY game whether it be Java or Flash or C++ or any of that, for more than five minutes without my computer fucking up. Please help.
Bump. Here is some of my specs GeForce 9800GTX Quad CPU Run Vista Ultimate
That really doesn't say much. What kind of CPU? AMD? Intel? What model? Etc. Also, download SpeedFan or CPUID HWMonitor and monitor the temperatures of the CPU and GPU and post them here after it freezes again. Also give us the temps of both of them while not doing anything.
Yes, Intel CPU, Core TM2 downloading speedfan hold on [editline]05:23PM[/editline] All my cores are in the early 40s/late 40s Celsius GPU is 63 Degrees Celsius in idle. Temp1-2 is normal, 51-52ish Temp3 is low,22 degrees HD0 is low. 33Degrees
Any help?
145F (I'm a Fahrenheit fag) seems to be pretty high for just idle. Like I said, what about temps under load (playing a game)? Your CPU seems fine on that, but give CPU temps if you want along with GPU temps.
This was happening to me yesterday, cleaned the dust inside the PC and installed the latest drivers, problem solved.
It's an Nvidia Problem now. I have the latest drivers for the 9800 GTX [editline]10:34AM[/editline] Could not load driver software.
