Album art on the iPod Touch

Hey, I've been thinking about picking up an iPod touch this Christmas, and have been wondering whether mostly all songs on iTunes have album art that fit the screen.

I have had little contact with them, and searching only really brings me to people who have problems displaying the album art itself. I have a few questions - is the album art specialised and at a resolution, being rectangular to fit the iPod touch's screen? And if not, is it upscaled as to lose resolution? My last question is how often you might come across songs that have missing album art, or art that doesn't look great on the screen.

Thanks for your answers in advance, this should be a fairly easy question to solve - as I said before I haven't been able to find anything regarding this on the internet.

Hum... I have an iPhone 3G and the album art is fairly good. Nothings fuzzy if thats what you mean. I often come across blank album art but thats because I get 40% of my music from CD-R's from my friends. But the Purchased iTunes album art has very good quality. well for the phones display anyway. I kinda wish the iPhone/iPod Touch screen was bigger/higher resolution.

The album art is displayed as square on the ipod like this:

If you don't have album art on the itunes song you wont get it on the ipod, you can get album artwork by using the "get album artwork" feature in itunes or with a program like tune up.

Or, you can just google for the album cover.
Right click on a song that doesn't have it, press "view info" then pictures then just drop the pic into it.

(I got iTunes on swedish so i don't know the exact wordings of the menu :X)

Just open Cover Flow in iTunes.

How it looks there is how it will look on your iPod.

The album art is shown like above, but even if the album art isn't a square it still shows, just with the edges cut off.

the iphone and ipod touch have amazing displays what are you talking about
