Hi everybody, I need a bit of help. I have been asked by the lower school music teacher at my school if I could come in and showcase some guitar playing for his fifth graders, as they are messing around with guitar in his music class. I plan to play them some acoustic guitar pieces/samples. I know a fair number of songs, and have been thinking about playing parts of Classical Gas, Thick as a Brick (Jethro Tull), some classical, etc . . . But I want to see if I can play songs that the kids might like or know. So I ask you FP, do you know of any acoustic songs that fifth graders would like/appreciate? Your help is much appreciated. Thanks!
I love Thick as a Brick but fifth graders probably won't know it.
Old Mc. Donald had a farm.
Through the Fire and Flames.
The fifth graders will all react as so:
"I heard that song on that guitar hero game omg :buddy:"

It's possible.
Just very, very difficult.

If someone can play TTFAF on a violin, they can play it on an acoustic guitar.
Maybe Wish You Were Here. I loved that song in fifth grade.
