Nah. Already feels like i've done everything possible.
It was fun at first, but got pretty boring after reaching the bottom of the map.
Terraria doesn't have Minecraft appeal. It just throws a bunch of content at you to keep you busy for a week but doesn't give you much space for creativity.

It's still in beta, and the developers are working on adding more endgame stuff and give it more replay value once you've got everything. Vanity items are just one way, so far. Minecraft is pretty much exactly the same, once you've gotten everything (diamonds and stuff) there's no point unless you want to spend hours on end building your giant autistic sculptures/buildings that nobody's going to care about. Terraria pretty much trumps Minecraft at everything (combat, exploration, items, depth, etc) except for the missing dimension not allowing you to build as creative stuff.

I agree that the two games could learn from each other, though.
Terraria is brimming with content yeah, but that's not what attracted people to Minecraft. It's the creative part and the exploration of a procedurally generated world. From a game design perspective, Minecraft provides much more depth even while the actual content seems to be far less. I personally find Terraria's combat to be tedious. Whoever decided to throw in slimes should be shot.

Most of the non-boss enemies aren't too fun to fight, as it's basically hold down your mouse and let them run into your sword until they die.
"News" anyway I got sick of it after about 7 slimes showed up when I was trying to build my first house

As it stands now it's just a glorified building tool with no real reason to bother exploring except to find stuff to build with.

I can't seem to put my finger on it.
