This is like the third reimagning of the series.
Also, they need one in the future where you play as Commander Keen, they are in the same universe.
I'm not lying, Google it.
The team working on it seems decent, lets hope Bethesda has actually given them time to polish the game though.
Gotta say this got me interested in this, lets see how average it will be :v:

And if Doom RPG is canon, Doom is in that same universe, because Stan "Doomguy" Blazkowicz I believe is Keen's grandson.

That was a pretty awesome trailer, before all along the watchtower started proper I was like 'is this all along the watchtower? can't be' and then it came on and everything was awesome.

That's because he is a "Marine with no Name", but always refuses to open fire upon civilians

The Marine was one of three selectable characters in Doom II RPG, and he uses Doomguy's HUD face. I still call him Doomguy
I'm hopeful but after the last game, meh.
If they do the alternative universe right it could be really good, I hope it isn't just another generic FPS.
