So when im playing most modern games and even valve games when in a heavy area or after an hour of play my cpu can get as hot as 73 celsius. Im using a i7 2600 stock cooler
If its overclocked, then you could consider resetting it to stock settings, considering that it will still be far more then enough powerful. 73 isn't critical, but nor is it good. Make sure that the cooler is mounted properly, and if you can then apply new thermal paste, even if that might not be necessary.
Or just buy a third party cpu cooler.
Stock Sandy Bridge coolers are crap. Mine kept overheating until I got an aftermarket cooler for it.
I'll look into getting an aftermarket cooler then but at the moment i can't afford jack shit
- Undo any overclocks
- Reseat the cooler
