The only apps you need are a couple games, Safari, And youtube anyway.
Um No, Apple is just going to retract there first update without review now cause the guy decided to be a fucking dick. The whole point apple allowed this is for app's who just come out and there might be a bug that hinders everyone from using it properly and the last thing you need is an app that can't be used on release day and have to wait a week for app update approval. Ugh, Idiots
In 2009 he identified a bug in the iPhone's text-messaging system that allowed attackers to gain remote control over the devices.
Apple confirmed for worst fucking security of all time
Um No, Apple is just going to retract there first update without review now cause the guy decided to be a fucking dick.
Apple confirmed for worst fucking security of all time
Isn't it theoretically possible to cause the battery on one of the older macbook pros to explode?
Apple was already proven to have horrible review processes: look at all the crappy apps on the appstore and look at all the great apps declined.
You guys need to make your mind up. You complain that the review process exists, then you complain that it isn't strict enough?
Isn't it theoretically possible to cause the battery on one of the older macbook pros to explode?
Not theoretical, it was proved. Flaw in the fact that their batteries have custom firmware allows an infection in the device itself to control the voltage regulation, heat management, anything that the firmware controls. Best part is the only way to fix it is to replace the battery.
Isn't it theoretically possible to cause the battery on one of the older macbook pros to explode?
You can do that to any battery with SMART monitoring I believe, it is just a case of knowing the password for the monitoring chip. Which is default for the manufacturer on Apple Macbooks. Like, the first rule of password security states not to do that.
When I saw this thread on the main page I thought it said "Apple store hit by missile"

it's funny because you're a massive apple fanboy dije :zoid: I don't know how this could have gotten through, Apples review system is pretty secure.
You guys need to make your mind up. You complain that the review process exists, then you complain that it isn't strict enough?
Do it right or don't do it all. Apple needs to pick one and stick to it.
You guys need to make your mind up. You complain that the review process exists, then you complain that it isn't strict enough?
I thought most complaints were about how it's shit, not the presence of it
it's funny because you're a massive apple fanboy dije :zoid: I don't know how this could have gotten through, Apples review system is pretty secure.
I guess from what I understand is that they changed the process so that if your app got approved once, you didn't have to get it approved for updates. So what you do is write a legit app and get it approved, then add in some data stealing code, and release it as an update. I don't know how they didn't see this coming.
Ohh, I didn't know that. Seems like a rather big flaw. They should at least do update checks, maybe not as strict as first time reviews, but it's still something.
all the games on the app store suck ass anyways
Isn't it theoretically possible to cause the battery on one of the older macbook pros to explode?
I think there was a Virus of some kind that made this happen as well.
all the games on the app store suck ass anyways
Dear Apple - Give me less choice please!
Dear Apple - Give me less choice please!
Not possible.
Need more fart apps
I don't mind the app review process, but how did they manage to let this pass, along with the tethering app and minecraft clone?
Android has real minecraft :smug:
Android has real minecraft :smug:
Your smugness won't last that long - it is being ported to iOS.
You guys need to make your mind up. You complain that the review process exists, then you complain that it isn't strict enough?
If they insist on having it, they should at least do it properly. Otherwise, what's the point in doing it at all other than removing shitty games that a few people might have found offensive. [editline]8th November 2011[/editline]
Not possible.
Doesn't the Appstore have twice as many Apps as the Android marketplace or something like that? There are very few which are on iOS but not other and way more iOS exclusives.
Doesn't the Appstore have twice as many Apps as the Android marketplace or something like that? There are very few which are on iOS but not other and way more iOS exclusives.
Android: Quality Appstore: Quantity
Android: Quality Appstore: Quantity
Hate to be devils advocate, but studies have shown that App store has a higher standard of quality too. But I consider the app stores equal, because you can do much more with the Android app system (like changing settings and widgets and all the customization)

[editline]8th November 2011[/editline] I even have an apple fanboy friend that agrees that most of iOS apps suck
This is funny because I trolled a girl a while back with the name charlie miller which is the name of a random student at my friends school. Lol my friends and I couldnt help but laugh at that :v:
