I mean, it's kind of a no-brainer that this will work fantastic if they can make it. The screen door effect is the result of being able to see the border between pixels, if the border between the pixels has a light diffusion material you won't see it. LG making this though would be a bet on current gen resolutions sticking around a long time though considering the SDE will also go away with higher resolutions

I really hope LG and Samsung start cross-licensing some of this tech. Samsung was (is) apparently working on a super-high density VR AMOLED display, something like 4X current displays.
I'd love to see both technologies working together, especially if we can get SteamVR compatible headsets with it.
