Last night I was in the middle of playing Hearthstone and watching some videos when I started getting serious visual glitches out of nowhere. I shutdown my PC and restarted it and the motherboard splash screen shows up as usual, but the screen goes black afterwards. Hitting DEL bring me to BIOS setup as usual. I've tried taking out the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS and that did nothing. I believe it to be a hardware issue, possibly with my motherboard. The motherboard plays the usual beep on startup bit plugging in the HDMI won't send a signal to my monitor.
I don't have my specs as of now besides my motherboard (MSI 880Gm-E41). I can't test any of my hardware in any other PCs since I don't have any. I also don't have my windows 7 install disk at hand. Googling gives me tons of different answers and I have no clue what to do. Can anyone help me?
Souns like your GPU is dead.

Or there might be more possibilities but that is the first one that comes to my mind.

Is there any way to be sure? Using the motherboards HDMI doesn't send a signal but the GPUs does.
What hardware do you have? You could try to enable the integrated GPU and your discrete graphics card in the BIOS, and connect your monitor to the HDMI output on the motherboard. If there's no such option available, try to take the GPU out.
