Something is wrong with my source games, whenever I try to run any of them my screen sort of flashes from the game to the desktop.. I've uploaded a video to show what I mean; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlESCpMeKjM Has anyone had this happen to them before?
delete clientregistry.blob exit steam re-enter steam ??? profit
Doesn't fix it. :/
Contact steam. I did this when my graphics card broke and they practically fixed it, and it wasn't even a problem with steam. I can do nothing but tell you to go to them.
How did they tell you to fix it?
Just email steam support. They fixed my team fortress 2, by taking out the party gibs (non german)
I've sent a steam support message. My new pc parts are coming on friday, so hopefully it won't even be an issue then.
If your using a 64bit OS, Try putting -32bit in the launch options...Fixed it for me
x86, it says so in the video.
This happens to me 1 in 5 times i launch games, im not sure what it is.
What? Troll. Steam can not, and will not fix a graphics card.
give this man dumbs and bad readings It was a issue related to drivers or whatnot, not the actual graphics card. Steam WILL fix it. Not everything you don't understand is a troll.
Try putting -dxlevel 81 in Launch Options. It helped for me, but it depends on your gfx card
