Wow, there is no other way to read this but "we know you're upset, but we're getting a lot of money so we don't care". The PR speak doesn't hide it one bit.

why does every game have to have pvp? that would have been incredibly boring, and generic.

I can't help but feel that he has a point though--if this update was as terrible as everyone is saying it is, why are so many people opting into it?

More content, I guess. For some reason, when a game is pure PVP, people tend to wish they had a COOP mode, and vice-versa. It gives new experiences, and lets you try out different tactics in a similar environment.

Why are so many people -not- opting into it? It's not a number you can calculate so that argument is moot, if you give the option to spend more money someone's going to use it.
There's also been several other updates during crimefest aswell as a free 10 days so the increase in players is anything but surprising either
But that's not the problem, nobody is contesting that the system is lucrative for them. Overkill has basically given the middle finger to the most loyal and passionate parts of the community that has been putting up with the obscene amount of paid DLC, even as far as BUYING AN OVERPRICED DLC MARKETED AS A WAY TO SUPPORT THEM not too long ago.
And then when overkill fucks up one too many times by adding pay to win weapons and disguising it as a reward from an event, the community demands it to be removed because it hurts their experience, overkill's reply is "I understand you might not like it, but it makes us money so though shit we're not changing it. We really care about you though!"

Wow who knew Almir was such a colossal piece of shit.

what is wrong with having more content I am not saying the game modes in PD should be taken out just some more added in,.
It has always been about the money, remember the hype train event? They were all on about free content and shit but it turns out they just wanted a million to release some "free" crap that probably were just items they had lying around, no effort needed.
