Actually, this was a pretty interesting article, at least for PC Gamer standards. Really does beg the question of how the Red Cross allocates their funds.
Okay so what about every game a red cross is featured in? There's probably over a thousand. Did they all call the ICRC and get permission? (Which by the sounds of this article they would refuse) Why is Prison Architect the first time I've heard of them going after a game for using the Red Cross

I think it's a bit silly to protect such a simple shape though.

I recall Battlefield 2 used it and never changed it

Let's make a content-crawler bot that looks through youtube videos for pixel arrangements that fit the description, and then report them for breach of the geneva conventions.

TF2 and Half Life have both used it for ages. The Medic in Battlefield 1 has the symbol prominently displayed on his satchel. Overwatch uses a variation of it. I'm curious why the Red Cross decided to go after Prison Architect, when that symbol is virtually ubiquitous in both videogames and greater society. As far as I'm aware, this issue has never come up before, has it? I can't ever remember it being a cross. Granted, it's been ages since I played.

The Red Cross organization might be going for the more 'offensive' games, since Lab Zero famously changed Valentine's pallete before anything happened, or big publishers work out their issues beforehand. Go take a look around, most packs don't feature a red cross at all. OW has it slanted, BF has it white, etc etc.
