How do I stop my sister from downloading with Utorrent?

She's trottling the internet so bad I get 1000 ping in videogames and after asking her if she can do it at night when noone is awake, she just says "fuck you, why should I listen to you?"
Basically, i'm fine with her downloading shit if she does it at night when noone is awake, but i literally can not play anything right now. Is there anyway for me to block Utorrent on our router?
Uninstall utorrent and revoke administrator privileges on her computer, if she's like what I'm guessing she'll never know what hit her.
But seriously, you can block network access to individual programs via Control Panel. Some ISP's will do this for you if you ask. But I don't know how to do it router-wise.
Get netcut, cut her internet out.
You can go into your router settings and block whatever torrents she uses. Or just delete utorrrent and remove privileges.
I can not delete it from her PC, she is on it all the time.
How would I block certain torrents in router settings? I know how to access the router, but not the other part.
Is she using wi-fi?
If so just change the routers' password.
First, make sure you are the only one with access to the router.
Then find what IP address she is using and what port µtorrent is operating on.
Block the port she uses in the router settings and you're done.
Or if it's done with MAC addresses instead, you can probably find her MAC in the router, else you'd have to either go to her computer and look for it (Which is unlikely as you said she's on the computer constantly) or do a portscan and find her by resolving the IP addresses.
Go to your router's QoS settings and add her PC to the lowest possible priority.

Thomson is complete shit most of the time and doesn't do cool shit like that.
I'd know, I have one as well. :suicide:

Blocking ports won't stop her from downloading, it will just stop her uTorrent from acting like a server (accepting incoming connections). You would rather need some program control that's found within most firewalls and completely block utorrent.exe from connecting to the internet.

At least read the reviews before recommending anything.

This one's tricky. look around your room, and possibly in another room until you find a trash can. Put the Thomson router in there and then get a new one.
but really it might not be possible since those are provided by your ISP afaik. See if you're able to use your own
In uTorrent, the bottom right there should be numbers.
The one furthest to the right limits upload speed.
when she's not looking, set that to 25 or 30 or something and download to 500 or whatever.
Thomson router :suicide:.
Easiest solution:
Hang out with her, treat her to a nice dinner and have a few drinks with her.
Then ask again if she can only download at night.
smash her comp up?..... easy but expensive way
I know with some routers if you go into the admin menu there are options to block specific programs, at least with the routers I've had. Just gotta dig through the menus a little.
