I have no idea how to explain this issue, I guess the only possible explanation is that I get some strange 'yellow' glossy overlay in pictures, videos and the Start menu. Well, these are the places I notice this problem the most, but it can be noticed upon startup on the Windows logo screen.
It just happened randomly the other night. It has happened before but I sorted it out, my only problem is I can't remember how.

Ignore the image file name, I am one of these lazy people who cannot be bothered to name their images correctly.
I don't see anything
I see no yellow
Its probably your monitor or something since we don't see any yellow
No yellow for me either
If you pay attention to the background of the start menu, behind devices and printers, i'll get a picture of a video though as it's better.
...You mean the label from the webpage bleeding through?
Still nothing wrong (with that picture). Your monitor is dying.
Can you circle around so we can see?
The sorta glossy yellow bits?

Take a picture with a digital camera or something, every screenshot looks fine.
i can slightly see it, nothing unbearable though
Looks fine to me also, check your cables are in your monitor correctly. Sometimes mine comes out a little bit making everything turn a tint of blue.
You sneezed and now there is yellow on your monitor.

This man is probably right, cables can be a cause of this.
