Hello, I need some help changing settings for my GPU's fan in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
By default, it's set to "Automatic control" and starts out at 50%, going up if it heats up.
I always change it to "Manual control" and set it to 75%.
Every time I restart my computer, it goes back to the default setting.
It's not a problem if I'm going to be at my computer, but if I start it then leave before it's finished booting, it gets a bit warm pretty quick. And god forbid auto-update restarts it in the middle of the night.
Is there anyway I can make it default to Manual control at 75%?
I've searched some, but all I have been able to find so far is a lot of talk about a driver released a while ago that broke fan speed controls all together
Try using MSi Afterburner for changing fan speeds.
just use afterburner as said above^, and change you fan speed to whatever, then save a profile and hit apply at windows startup.
Thanks guys. I installed it and I think I have it set up right. We will see whenever I restart again
