• Display doesn't show up.

I'm building a computer for a friend, and we've connected all the parts and set up it completely. I've done this several times before, so it's a routine process for me. However, I've run across a problem I can't exactly diagnose. No matter what I do, I simply can't get the display to, well, display. Nothing shows up on three different displays, I've tried HDMI, DVI, VGA, etc. I don't have a spare GPU laying around, so I can't test if it's the GPU, but it doesn't smell burnt and I couldn't see any visual damage. I've tried connecting it directly to the motherboard without the GPU and that didn't work either. The motherboard doesn't make a beep noise when starting up. All other parts successfully boots up (as far as I can tell,) and are receiving power. I'm concerned the motherboard is faulted, and I'll try asap to test it in a different setup. [s]I'll post the specs as soon as I can get them from my friend. What has gone wrong? Edit: Asus z87k GTX 780 Corsair CS750m Kingston Hyper X Beast (2x 4gb)
I would suggest posting your problem when you get the specs in this subforum over the Building one. You'll generally get a lot more response.
You're probably right. It seemed relevant enough to post it here though.
